Before you visit the city of Toronto’s website or head to your local Registry Services Office, make sure that you have all the proper documents ready. A commitment to marry someone means that you must take all the necessary legal steps.

Identification

A number of identification materials may be requested of you while going through the marriage license process. Some of these materials include a passport, license, birth certificate, citizenship card or other proof of citizenship.
